The Origins of Cornhole

Back in the early 14th century in Germany, carpenter Matthias Kuepermann saw children tossing stones into a hole in the ground. Concerned for their safety, he created a safer version of the game — using a wooden board with a hole and soft bags filled with corn instead of stones. Later, when German immigrants brought the game to the U.S., Cornhole quickly gained massive popularity and is still widely played today.
